Listed below are some of the common questions that are asked about hypnotherapy and its application.
Q -
WHO CAN
USE HYPNOTHERAPY?
A
- Most people could possibly benefit from the treatment of
hypnotherapy to rebalance unwanted habits, reduce stress, headaches, control
pain and many more ailments.
A client must be of sound mind in order to gain benefit.
At Altered Emotions Hypnotherapy, treatments are tailored to suit
individual needs and lifestyles.
Q - CAN HYPNOTHERAPY
REMOVE SUBCONSCIOUS LIMITATIONS
A - We all have the ability to alter bad habits, reduce stress, control pain etc. By altering the emotional content of the subconscious mind, it allows the conscious part of the mind to progress.
Q
- HOW
CAN I MAXIMIZE THE BENEFIT OF
HYPNOTHERAPY
A - The key
word here is practice, practice, practice.
Self-hypnosis
between hypnotherapy sessions can be taught to a client at Altered Emotions
Hypnotherapy, through instruction. This
then allows a client to have the ability to implant suggestion’s, in their own
subconscious mind using symbolic visualization.
Each individual client learns this process at his or her own pace, which
does not detract from its effectiveness. Before
attempting self-hypnosis, it is recommended that a client understands the
technique fully.
Q - WILL I STILL BE IN
CONTROL OF MY OWN MIND?
A - During a client’s first visit to Altered Emotions Hypnotherapy, any anxiety a client feels will be discussed and hopefully alleviated. Clinical Hypnotherapy cannot instruct the subconscious to alter any pattern that a client does not want altered.
Q
- CAN
HYPNOTHERAPY HURT ME?
A - There are no reported cases that hypnotherapy has caused anything other than benefit to a client under clinical conditions. The general public has a great misconception towards hypnotherapy, but gradually society is becoming more enlightened. There is nothing magical or supernatural about hypnotherapy. Any fear is through the client’s own subconscious thought and misconception to a naturally occurring state.
Q - WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE HYPNOTISED?
A - Hypnotherapy is merely a state of relaxation, of both body and mind. Some people don’t feel as though they have been hypnotised. This again, is through their own preconceptions, expecting something totally different. There are various levels of trance state and a client may experience very pleasant sensations of warmth or feel as though their legs or arms are slightly floating or lose conscious awareness of parts of the body, this is due to total relaxation and letting go of all tension. You are perfectly able to come back to conscious awareness at any point during a hypnotherapy session. The client will always be aware of everything that is happening around them. Most people enjoy the feelings associated with being in a state of relaxation.
